Resolutions

I don't feel that goals and resolutions have to wait until January 1 to be set -- I think that you should set new goals as needed throughout your life!  But, with the talk of resolutions around this time of year, I have made a few to start out 2010.

As a family, we talked about what we'd like to do in 2010, and Bo said that he would like to explore more of Arizona.  We all agreed that was a great idea, and I've already made plans for our first Arizona 2010 exploration to happen this month!

Personally, I'm going to make an effort to finally use the reusable shopping bags I own -- instead of forgetting them in the back of the car like I usually do. In fact, if you want to try along with me -- I may have a giveaway soon to help you skip the plastic bags.

And, finally, I want to learn to crochet more than a chain.  I love the cute crocheted food I see on etsy.com, and I'd love to make some of my own for Lydia's play kitchen.

What about you?  What do you hope to achieve in 2010?

Go to Organ Pipe National Monument maybe late February if you can work out the time. The year I was there I was a little too late for the crazy blooming desert. Maybe not this year, but when Lydia is a little older.

I have 2 5 packs of Envirosax that I take when I do the grocery shopping. They fold down so tiny and hold so much. I've been using them for a couple of years and there are a couple of other really good brands besides those now. Before I had these, I would use the bulky canvas bags for some of the shopping, but not as reliably as these. D. will even take a couple of the black patterned ones if he goes to the store and we have another small navy one from a German company that lives in his car in case of unexpected trips. I've even started taking them to places like Target even though it sometimes seems like I get a little resistance from the cashiers there. Less and less all the time though.

Happy New Year to you and your family!
