Tell Me Thursday - Fall

Another season of fall ball has started! This is Colin's 5th year playing and Nate's 4th year. Colin almost didn't play this year, but changed his mind at the last possible second. I'm glad he did, as he is actually enjoying it this year because this year's coach is the best they've had! I'm also glad he decided to play because this is the last season he'll be able to play in this league -- he'll be too old next year.

My boys are getting so tall, I almost didn't recognize them on the field. You might notice their baseball pants are a little short because I bought them a size too small . . . but they fit fine in the waist!

Lydia is not interested in watching the boys play baseball. She is interested in navigating the bleachers, trying to convince me to buy junk food, and jumping down the steps. She has 2 more years before she can play t-ball.

Over at my picture blog, I created links to all the past season shots.

Did you play Wordless Wednesday yesterday? If so, don't forget to tell your story today & link to Tell Me Thursday!

  1. Melanie,

Isn't it amazing how quickly they grow? Over the weekend, I glanced at the back seat of the car while we were out and about and almost didn't recognize my oldest. I guess because I see him every day, I had not realized how much he'd grown. In that glance,I saw a young MAN (shoulders broadening, getting so tall), and not a little boy. It took my breath away.

Great Wordless Wednesday and Tell Me Thursday!!

Oy. Yes still hot. I just looked at the forecast. Temps near 110, excessive heat warning from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. Bet you can't wait to be shivering at 79 degrees. We haven't had much of a summer here. I bet you've heard about that from your parents if they are still spending most of their time up here...

  3. Fall ball is so much fun. It seemed to always be a little more relaxed and a tad cooler than spring/summer ball. I would be with Lydia though and focus more on the off the field antics than the on the field stuff.

  4. Very cute! My kids don't want to play baseball or t-ball. No soccer or football either. That is okay with me!

  5. I had no idea of what 'fall ball' was, so I went and googled it. Then I realized what you meant... duh.

    Nice story, anyway!
