Giveaway! RESPECT bracelet

Macy's has teamed up with the Family Violence Prevention Fund and are selling these bracelets with the word RESPECT stamped in them.

Half of the proceeds for these $5 bracelets will benefit the RESPECT! campaign, a Family Violence Prevention Fund initiative sponsored by Macy's to raise funds and awareness to end violence against women & children.

What better time than Mother's Day to think about how our mothers taught us to respect others, and how we as mothers teach our children to respect others? Wouldn't this bracelet make a wonderful gift and reminder?

Visit GiveRespect.org to learn more about their initiative, and also to send free e-cards to those you respect.

I have one bracelet to give away to one of my readers! Please leave a comment sharing how you teach respect to your children, or what it means to you to receive respect. I will draw a winner late on Mother's Day!

I'll also be giving away a bracelet over at momsloveshopping.com, so you can receive 2 chances to win if you leave a comment on both posts.

*** Comments are closed. A winner has been chosen & notified! Thanks for reading! ***

  1. Iam finding that the more respect I show my children, the more respectful they are in return. So I TRY to teach by example. I'll try to send some of my readers your way!

  2. yep - gotta lead by example - especially with respect - a big part of that is listening to others.

  3. I am from the south and I remember that out of respect people would often teach their children to say sir or mam when spoken to. I miss those days. I think it was respectful. But today, even the pastors want to be called by their first names and so do other professions. What is wrong with Pastor John and Dr. Phil? lol What is wrong with saying, "Yes, Sir"? I believe we think using those phrases makes us feel old. We are trying to stay younger no matter what. lol

    Happy Mother's Day!
