new obsession

Years ago, I loved playing the online mahjongg games. This is my new obsession. The first puzzle took me an embarrassing 30 minutes to complete. I'm getting the hang of it now, though, and can get through an easy puzzle in 5 - 7 minutes, even while answering children's questions and mediating battles.

My next goal is to complete them without any errors. At first, I'd check for errors after each couple numbers; then after each completed box/row/column; now I wait until I have a couple done before checking. I still haven't gotten through a puzzle with no errors, though!

  1. I don't believe it! I got Rob a book of those puzzles for Christmas and he's become addicted to the book! NOW I see him in the chair in the living room --NOT on the computer, working those puzzles out. He's up until 1 and 2 in the morning doing them! LOL
I am not sure I should tell him they have them online too! LOL...
Maybe I'll check them out. I've never done one myself.
I've heard Sudoku is the latest craze...

  2. I think the online ones go faster, because you can easily check for errors as you're working. It's a nice little diversion for me.

  3. My teenagers love those things. My daughter begged me to try the Daily Soduko @ shockwave.com. So I did - the easy one. Boy did it make me feel stupid.
